The Union of Afro-Asian Universities sponsors the establishment of the Association of the Eight Afro-Asian Unions
By the grace of God Almighty, a cooperation protocol was signed between eight international and global Unions and associations, through a generous initiative from the Union of Afro-Asian Universities in cooperation with the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment affiliated with the League of Arab States and the World Union of International Arab Islamic Schools, a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to establish an effective partnership between regional and international Unions, develop the relationship between them, and build bridges of communication and cooperation in areas of common interest in order to achieve a constructive connection that benefits individuals, societies, and students. In addition to cooperation to raise the level of university education in a way that guarantees students the optimal level scientifically, morally, healthily, psychologically, and environmentally, and to raise the level of scientific research in all fields and exchange its results and direct attention to applied research that addresses the issues of contemporary reality and works to link the topics of curricula, courses, and research to the requirements of the labor market and to sustainable development plans scientifically, economically, and socially, far from political, partisan, sectarian, or denominational frameworks, while paying attention to Arab and Islamic heritage and literature. The importance of scientific and educational institutions from their early academic stages to university in decision-making, shaping awareness, drawing the intellectual and cultural map, and determining the direction compass is also not hidden. Doctrinally, economically, cognitively and socially for the individual and society… and out of the keenness of the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment and the World Union of Schools to coordinate and integrate efforts between all parties and because these Unions have an authentic connection to Arab and Islamic work and everything that concerns man, especially between the continents of Africa and Asia, and because these two continents have many common denominators and contain more than (102) countries, the aforementioned Unions were keen to direct an invitation to their counterparts to establish a practical association that achieves the goals and mission of each party… especially since we are in an era that only knows blocs characterized by unity, integration and cooperation. This initiative was welcomed and desired by the Union of Arab Women Leaders, the Arab Union for Culture and Creativity, the Afro-Asian Business Council, the World Islamic Literature Association and the World Islamic Council for Call and Relief to join, participate and sign a protocol of cooperation and true partnership between the eight international and global Unions… The most prominent thing included in the agreement was cooperation in the scientific, educational, research, training and advocacy aspects and consolidating women’s rights and empowering them and holding conferences and seminars Workshops, exchange of knowledge, education and digital scientific materials, granting each party membership to the other, cooperation in educational studies and research related to developing educational curricula in the continents of Africa and Asia, conducting studies and research related to the contemporary educational reality, studying educational, financial and administrative obstacles, and contributing to preserving the environment, as well as organizing training and qualification courses for teachers in order to raise their academic level and develop their educational capabilities in a manner that keeps pace with the developments of the era, and placing the logo of each party for the other parties in conferences, seminars, lectures, discussion groups and workshops according to the message and objectives of each party, while benefiting from specialists and experts in the Supreme Advisory Board of the Union of Afro-Asian Universities to provide scientific and educational consultations and work to find quality standards that are compatible with international standards in order to improve the quality and efficiency of higher education in Africa and Asia and meet the message and objectives of each party, and cooperation in raising the level of scientific research in all areas of common interest and exchanging its results, and directing attention to applied research that addresses issues of reality away from political, partisan, sectarian, sectarian, racist or regional frameworks.
The cooperation protocol was signed by Professor Saber Abdel Dayem Younes, President of the International Islamic Literature Union, Counselor Abdel Fattah Suleiman Abdullah, Secretary-General of the World Union of International Arab Islamic Schools, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Aziz, Secretary-General of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Rafeh Al-Darfaili, Executive Director of the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, Dr. Hala Adly Hussein, Secretary-General of the Arab Women Leaders Union, Professor Badria Suleiman Abbas, President of the Arab Women Leaders Union, Judge Dr. Ali Mohsen Al-Akwa, President of the Arab Union for Culture and Creativity, and Mr. Walid Abdel Aal Daabas, President of the Afro-Asian Business Council, at the headquarters of the World Union of International Arab Islamic Schools. The meeting was attended by a group of scientists, thinkers, intellectuals, economists and media professionals, most notably Counselor Nader Jaafar, President of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, Professor Alaa Awad, Official Spokesperson for the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, Dr. Sabah Al-Hakim, Professor of Media at 6th of October University, Dr. Hind Abdel Halim Mahfouz, Professor of Urdu Language at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Safaa Al-Sabbagh, Professor of Mental Health, the great poet Mohamed Al-Sharqawi, Media Officer at the International Islamic Literature Union, Professor Walid Abdel Moneim Shatta, External Relations Officer at the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, media professional Khaled Bayoumi, journalist Rozly Youssef and Professor Ahmed Al-Dawy, journalist at Al-Gomhuria newspaper.
