Dr. Rifaat El-Dabaa: The International Media Conference achieves integration between media and society

Dr. Rifaat El-Dabaa, the global founder of the Colleges of Specialized Media, international parliamentary advisor, envoy minister for etiquette, protocol, and international cooperation, and president of the International Union of Etiquette, as well as the head of the Protocol Syndicate in Egypt, has authored a series of encyclopedias. These include a 9-volume Encyclopedia of Etiquette, a 30-volume Encyclopedia of Specialized Media, and a 17-volume Encyclopedia on Dealing with Others. He has also developed the first globally recognized scientific theory in new media, documented by the Egyptian Book Organization, and has founded numerous media colleges worldwide.

Regarding his view on the “International Conference on New Media and Its Role in Promoting Social Security and Economic Development,” he remarked that the conference title is modern and concise, aligning with the criteria for a good, comprehensive title. He praised the efforts of the organizing committee, led by Professor Ashraf Al-Darfily, President of the Union of Afro-Asia Universities, Professor Abdul Karim Al-Wazan, Secretary-General of the Conference, Professor Abdul Razzaq Al-Dulaimi, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, and Dr. Magda Mahmoud, Head of the Media Committee. The conference is directed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz.

Dr. El-Dabaa observed that the dedication of the subcommittees is evident, indicating professionalism and experience, which promises the conference’s success. He noted that the conference addresses modern and diverse topics, making it the first of its kind both regionally and globally. This is particularly due to the involvement of numerous leading Arab nations and the clarification of various media concepts and terms that the media community urgently needs. He added that the conference will create a synergy between security media, societal media, developmental media, and citizen media, topics that are critical at this time. Moreover, the timing of the conference from August 22 to 24 is particularly suitable for the academic community, allowing for broader media coverage. The choice of Morocco as the host country, given its proximity to Europe, further enhances the conference’s international appeal.

Dr. El-Dabaa expressed his hope that the circle of invitations will be expanded to include specialists, experts, innovators, writers, and media critics, ensuring diversity and uniqueness. He also stressed the importance of encouraging researchers in interdisciplinary fields that link media with other social sciences, as was done in the Encyclopedia of Specialized Media. Inviting parliaments, governments, research centers, and decision-makers to this significant conference would also support the adoption of its recommendations. He hoped the conference would address global issues, as media plays a crucial role in tackling the challenges faced by societies both locally and internationally.

He concluded by suggesting that the conference should be an annual event, held in different countries each year, with a fixed date. This would allow more media professionals to participate in disseminating the conference’s recommendations and promoting its results. Additionally, he recommended honoring all contributors, creators, innovators, and researchers in the field of media, thus achieving the expected scientific integration. After witnessing the effort and dedication invested in the conference, Dr. El-Dabaa is confident that it will succeed.

It is worth noting that Professor Ashraf Al-Darfily is the general supervisor of the conference, Professor Abdul Karim Al-Wazan is the Secretary-General, Professor Abdul Razzaq Al-Dulaimi is the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, and the conference is managed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, with Dr. Magda Mahmoud as the Head of the Media Committee.
