About

Introduction:

Driven by a profound belief and moral, human, and scientific responsibility of each university, academy, and scientific institution to enhance its scientific, developmental, and humanitarian impact within its local, national, regional, and international community, and to achieve its mission and goals at the highest global standards, while activating each university’s inherent potential, which may hinder the realization of desired ambitions and hopes, it became essential to consider an institutional and collective approach that ensures constructive participation among a large number of universities with shared scientific, intellectual, and humanitarian visions. The goal is to develop a scientific and practical framework that achieves the desired presence not only nationally but also regionally, globally, and humanely, to present a comprehensive image of science and its impact on individuals, the universe, and life, starting from shared commonalities that we strive to amplify through a unified vision.

This motivated us to establish the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, due to the commonalities between these two continents in many aspects, such as religion, language, history, geography, blood ties, and shared fate, as well as the humanitarian values among many of their countries. It is well known that Africa represents an extension of these elements concerning Asia at the dawn of the knowledge era associated with the Islamic call and the great message of “IQRAA.”

The belief in these elements of unity and the shared visions and goals that arise from them was the primary impetus for establishing this union under the name “Union of Afro-Asian Universities” to form a stable point of reference for launching a scientific and academic cooperation institution that supports one nation and all of humanity. This union will also assist international organizations concerned with education, culture, and science on a regional and international level, such as ISESCO and UNESCO, and will contribute to shaping the general outlines necessary when representing the collective discourse of any potential human unit.

*In accordance with this system, and from the date of signing the draft project, executive regulations, and the founding charter by the founding members, a union (formerly known as a forum) shall be established and named the “Union of Afro-Asian Universities.”

Summary of the previous draft of the forum (currently the Union):
