The Union of Afro-Asian Universities extends its sincere congratulations to His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Emad Abu Alrub, a member of the scientific committees and Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Addressing Extremist Thought and Achieving Security and Safety at the Union of Afro-Asian Universities, for his selection as a member of the General Council for Minority Policy and Religious Freedoms in the Republic of Ukraine, wishing him continued success and progress. Imad Abu Al-Rub, head of the Ukrainian Center for Communication and Dialogue, and the council includes 20 members of experts and activists in the field of minorities and nationalities at the level of Ukraine.

In her speech and opening of the first meeting of the council, Ms. Alina Bagdan, Head of the Department of Minority Policy and Religious Freedom, referred to this important step to establish this council to serve as an advisory body to the Ukrainian government in the field of minorities and nationalities and to enhance their presence and positive integration into society and achieve partnership, cooperation and communication.
This membership comes as a culmination of the efforts of the Ukrainian Center for Communication and Dialogue and its cooperation and effective communication with the Office of the President, the Office of the Prime Minister and the Department of Minority Policy and Religious Freedoms aimed at promoting virtuous values ​​and establishing a culture of coexistence and rejecting hatred and extremism.
A strategic plan will be developed for the council and a work program that includes all minorities, nationalities and ethnicities in Ukraine under the umbrella of coexistence and common humanity.
The center will hold a meeting with a high-level official presence for the Arab communities and social institutions concerned and interested in enhancing civilizational communication and highlighting the honorable Arab presence in Ukraine.
